I enjoy the simplicity of your forum. What software do you use?

Thank you for the question! We use our own software.
I didn't say this, I'm a head of one department in a laboratory of network and analytic research affiliated with South Ural State University. My department concentrates on different network software, including Genuine Channels and Genuine Connectivity. Our sites (in Russian):
http://www.labdotnet.ru
;
http://74.rosfirm.ru
;
http://www.contentmanager.ru
and so on...
Recently we have founded a new company that will concentrate on Genuine Channels, Genuine Connectivity and such sort of products.

Well, I dont speak Russian so I cant read the sites... =)
Is there a way I can purchase a license for this forum software? Like I mentioned, it's simplicity and functionality are great.

I'm afraid, it's impossible. It's deeply integrated with our site infrastructure, winform editor, statistical system and CMS. It works, but it's not a product. It will take considerable amount of time to make a product on top of this.

The forum is very nice, but the search feature could be improved just a little....
For example, searching for two keywords seems to return all results containing either of the words. Is there a way to search intersection-wise rather than union-wise ? Is there a way to search for an exact match of two words, e.g. "TCP port" ? These could really help.
I think results could be shown with the latest post first, oldest post last, just like the normal forum browsing. It is currently the opposite, and not sortable.
Also, searching for "log" returns an error.
Thank you!

another improvment idea!
1) use cookies to remember users so they do not have to login over and over again.
2) simple email that would be send to the user is a reply has been posted to his question. I would prefer this over any other functionality.

It's done, but information in cookies become invalid as soon as you log on somewhere else. I mean, you've logged on the first computer. And you won't be asked to login until you work on the first computer. As soon as you log on the second computer, nobody will be able to use your cookies (provided to the first browser). It means that if you return to the first computer, you will not be recongnized and as soon as you log on there again, cookies on the second computer become invalid.

I'm sorry, this is by design and it looks like this isn't a subject to change in the nearest future. If you need answers via e-mail, please request our support team via e-mail.
